Looks in the clear orange morning light

Like it has been here for forever

Or for a very long time

It looks like a fossil or some prehistoric behemoth

Or the spinal chord of the world

Clicking all to the hot…’

He continues on his mid-morning rambling

But this is the good part of the day

Maybe the best

Still a quarter asleep

And so life is still reeling,

Bleary eyed and sunken

Trying to

Make sense of itself.

And there is truth in what he says
