FOUR WALLS

In the mirror with you behind me

Eyes in the light like something cold

I turn the mirror on its axel so it faces up

I can no longer see you

And we lay on the floor by the bed

With the television on

Your belly makes a noise like a toad

I watch the fan on the roof rotate the room

And I cannot think of anything

Worth thinking about

Outside these four walls
